Four arrested on meth charges

CULLODEN — A Culloden apartment complex was once again the site of meth lab arrests.
Early Saturday morning, deputies with the Cabell County Sheriff's Office charged four people with felony meth charges at Culloden Manor on Ridge Run Road.
Thaddeas Marton Reams, 25; Carla Marie Curd, 44; Brittany Kay Legg, 23; and Karen Loreen Murphy, 52, were all charged with a felony count of operating or attempting to operate a clandestine lab. Reams also faces a misdemeanor charge of first-offense driving under the influence, while Legg was charged with a misdemeanor count of shoplifting.
Sheriff Tom McComas said he received a call at 2 a.m. about the arrests, which stemmed from deputies on routine patrol responding to a call and then doing some on-scene investigation. That led to the arrests, he said.
McComas was asked about the frustration of recurring meth arrests and said law enforcement has to have the right mindset to battle the problem.
"You just keep doing your job and keep hoping people get smarter and stop doing it," he said.
According to The Herald-Dispatch archives, a meth bust was made at Culloden Manor in May 2012.
Details of the arrest and what was found was not immediately available.
All four were incarcerated at the Western Regional Jail in Barboursville before 3:20 a.m. Saturday. Each are being held on $20,000 bond, plus an additional $400 for Legg.
