Main break prompts boil-water advisory
KENOVA -- A water main break along U.S. 52 in Wayne County has prompted a boil-water notification for the following areas:
Residences located along Centerville Road from Lower Gragston Creek Road toward the town of Prichard
Residences located along Gilkerson Branch Road
Residences located along Davis Branch Road
Wayne County residents in the affected areas are advised to bring all water to a boil, letting it boil for one minute and cool before use. Boiled or bottled water should be used for drinking, making ice, brushing teeth, washing dishes, bathing and food preparation until further notice.
Repairs to the water main are under way, and water will be tested for any contamination, according to officials at the Kenova Municipal Water System.
