Three sentenced in circuit court
HUNTINGTON -- Cabell Circuit Judges Alfred Ferguson and Paul T. Farrell recently ordered sentences against the following defendants.
Those included three years of probation for Robert Scott Pinson. Ferguson ordered the punishment after suspending a 1- to 5-year prison sentence.
Pinson, 26, of the 800 block of 24th Street in Huntington, had pleaded guilty to first-degree robbery.
A January 2012 indictment initially charged Pinson with first-degree robbery and conspiracy.
Woman to self report in felony attempt
Ferguson ordered Patricia Howard to a 1- to 3-year prison sentence. She will begin serving the punishment Feb. 15 when she reports to the Western Regional Jail.
Howard had pleaded guilty to attempt to commit a felony. She agreed to enter the plea without a grand jury indictment.
Neither address nor age information was provided.
Probation in grand larceny case
Farrell ordered Jonathan Carl Parsons to serve two years of probation with drug treatment and pay one-third restitution. That followed the judge suspending a 1- to 10-year prison sentence.
