Juveniles driving stolen vehicle apprehended
CEREDO -- The following information was provided by the Ceredo Police Department:
Two juveniles were apprehended following a traffic stop on I-64 near the Ceredo/Kenova exit after officers discovered the vehicle they were driving had been reported stolen from Ripley, W.Va. The incident occurred Jan. 5.
The vehicle, a white 1993 Chevrolet Silverado, was towed by a local towing company. The case was turned over to the West Virginia State Police.
LARCENY: A 40-year-old man reported that tools valued at $625 were stolen from his residence in the 700 block of B Street. The incident occurred between midnight and 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 22.
The following information was provided by the Kenova Police Department:
BREAKING AND ENTERING VEHICLE: A 68-year-old man reported cassette tapes valued at $300 were stolen from his vehicle while it was parked in the 400 block of 17th Street. The incident occurred between 6:30 p.m. Jan. 11 and 8:43 a.m. Jan. 12.
LARCENY: A 44-year-old man reported a sound board stolen from Big Baptist Church, 1120 Poplar St., between Dec. 31 and Jan. 6. The item was valued at $2,000.
