Local man charged with felony malicious wounding
The following information was provided by reports filed with the Huntington Police Department:
Carlos Richmond, 29, of Huntington was charged with felony malicious wounding and a misdemeanor warrant Tuesday.
Officers were dispatched to the 1300 block of 10th Avenue just before 1 a.m. Tuesday in response to a report of a fight. When officers arrived on the scene, all of the involved parties had separated. Officers were able to determine that two males had gotten into a fight, and one of them was cut in the face. The report also stated two women were involved in another fight, but neither woman had been arrested or charged in the incident at the time of the report.
DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY, BREAKING AND ENTERING: Two people reported to police that the windows on their vehicles were shattered while they were parked along Olive Street on Monday.
A 48-year-old man reported he discovered the driver side door of his Chevrolet HHR had been shattered while it was parked in his garage in the 200 block of Olive Street. The damage to the vehicle was estimated at $1,000. The man said the vehicle had been parked inside of his garage, which was locked at the time of the incident.
In the other case, a 48-year-old woman reported someone shattered a window in her vehicle while it was parked in the 300 block of Olive Street and took $756 in cash and $530 in miscellaneous items.
BURGLARY: A 28-year-old woman reported someone kicked in the door of her residence in the 700 block of 3rd Street sometime between last Thursday and Monday and took $3,700 in appliances and copper pipes. The woman said she was in the process of moving out of the residence, and she did not visit the residence during the time frame in which the crime occurred.
BURGLARY: A 57-year-old man reported someone forced entry into his home in the 1000 block of 10th Avenue sometime between last Friday and Monday and took $800 in tools and $175 in household items.
The following information was provided by booking records at the Western Regional Jail in Barboursville:
Kimberly Dawn McDonough, 35, was incarcerated at 1:45 p.m. Tuesday. Authorities in Mason County charged her with a home confinement violation. Bond was denied.
Charles Alan Lowe, 29, was incarcerated at 11:50 a.m. Tuesday. Authorities in Wayne County charged him with felony daytime breaking and entering and misdemeanor burglary. Authorities in Cabell County also charged him with two bench warrants. Bond was $27,000.
Cody Allen Vickers, 20, was incarcerated Monday evening. Authorities in Cabell County charged him with felony daytime burglary, conspiracy and three counts of fraudulent use of a credit card, along with misdemeanor petit larceny. Bond was $85,000.
Stephen Mike Hopkins, 36, was incarcerated Monday evening. Authorities in Cabell County charged him with an unspecified felony. He also faces felony charges out of Kanawha County and a holding charge in federal court. Bond was denied.
