February 10, 2013 @ 12:00 AM

LUCASVILLE, Ohio -- Two West Virginia men were charged with felony counts by Ohio State Highway Patrol following a traffic stop in Lucasville, Ohio, on Friday evening.

Mark A. Trogdon, 52, and his passenger, Van L. Smith, 42, were pulled over on U.S. 23 in Scioto County at 6:48 p.m. for moving violations and several vehicle defects.

"Troopers observed criminal indicators, and a patrol canine was called to the scene," a news release states. "The search of the vehicle revealed approximately two ounces of cocaine."

The street value of the drugs was approximately $4,700.

They were charged with possession of cocaine and trafficking cocaine, both first-degree felonies. They are being held at the Scioto County Jail.
