Woman reports waking to find man standing in bedroom
The following information was provided by reports filed with the Huntington Police Department:
BURGLARY: A 27-year-old woman reported she was sleeping in her residence in the 800 block of 17th Street at about 4 a.m. Thursday when she awoke to find a man standing over her. The woman said she got out of bed, and the man tried to carry on a conversation with her.
She said the man grabbed her phone, but she was able to get it back from him before he fled from her home.
The report said it appeared the man gained entry to the home through an unlocked window.
BREAKING AND ENTERING (AUTO): A 51-year-old man reported someone gained entry into his unlocked vehicle while it was parked in the in the 3100 block of 3rd Avenue on Tuesday and took $8,000 in CDs, $300 in apparel and $150 in cash.
SUSPICIOUS FIRE: Emergency crews responded to a fire at a residence in the 800 block of 28th Street just before 11:30 p.m. Wednesday. The residence was vacant and unsecured at the time of the fire.
The following information was provided by reports filed with the Cabell County Sheriff's Office:
CREDIT CARD FRAUD: A 56-year-old woman reported someone stole two of her credit cards and the key to her post office box from her home in the 8700 block of Barker Ridge Road in Milton. The woman said since the theft, a total of $5,505 in fraudulent charges have been made by someone using her cards at stores in Cabell County.
BURGLARY, BREAKING AND ENTERING: A 26-year-old woman reported someone forced entry into a storage locker she uses in the 100 block of West Lane in Barboursville on March 2 and took $2,000 in tire rims, $700 in tools and lawn equipment and four pool sticks worth $50.
The following information was provided by booking records at the Western Regional Jail in Barboursville:
Robert Roe, 29, was incarcerated at 12:55 p.m. Thursday. Authorities in Cabell County charged him as a fugitive from justice. Bond was denied.
Joseph Michael Cremeans, 26, was incarcerated at 3:45 a.m. Thursday. Authorities in Cabell County charged him with being a fugitive from justice. Bond was denied.
Charles Lee Woods, 28, was incarcerated at 12:10 a.m. Thursday. Authorities in Cabell County charged him with felony possession of a controlled substance with intent to delvier. Bond was $50,000.
