HUNTINGTON -- The cause of a fire at a home along Highlawn Avenue was under investigation Thursday night.

The fire was reported at 10:35 p.m. Thursday at a home in the 2700 block of Highlawn Avenue.

When fire crews arrived on the scene, smoke was bellowing from the home, and the fire was contained to the first floor of the residence, said Deputy Fire Chief Ralph Rider.

No one was at the home at the time of the fire, and Rider said the condition of the home indicated no one was living at the residence.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
