InfoCision offers fitness center, on-site physician and more for its employees
HUNTINGTON -- While many area residents lack health insurance or access to wellness programs, one area company does have a program that offers employees an on-site fitness center and other programs.
InfoCision in Huntington expanded last year to add an on-site fitness center and on-site physician. The company also offers a smoking cessation program, employee health fairs and weight loss programs.
InfoCision Management Corporation is headquartered in Akron, Ohio.
"We implemented our health and wellness initiative four years ago and decided to become self-insured about three years ago, paying the claims ourselves and taking on the risk. This not only has helped the bottom line, but it also creates an environment where people enjoy coming to work. Participation is excellent, and our employees are thrilled with the available amenities," said InfoCision President and CEO Carl Albright in a press release.
In June 2006, InfoCision opened its first on-site fitness center in its corporate headquarters. The tremendous employee response led the company to add centers to six of its 13 call centers, including its location in Huntington.
The on-site fitness centers, called InfoFitness, have equipment such as treadmills, elliptical machines, recumbent bikes and free weights. Employees also have access to a certified personal trainer.
Showers and locker rooms add convenience so employees can workout before or after work or during breaks. An InfoFitness membership is available to all employees for just $3.50 per week.
Another employee perk is a program called InfoWellness. In April, InfoCision hired Huntington physician Dr. Larry Caserta to provide on-site medical services ranging from physicals to blood work to stitches. Currently, Caserta works at the company's Riverside facility where he holds regular weekly hours.
