American Red Cross to host several blood drives
HUNTINGTON -- Area residents will have many opportunities to donate blood at upcoming American Red Cross blood drives scheduled throughout the Huntington area this month.
Upcoming drives include:
12:30 to 6:30 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays, the Huntington Donor Center at 1111 Veterans Memorial Blvd.
9 a.m. to 1 p.m. the last Friday of the month, the Huntington Donor Center at 1111 Veterans Memorial Blvd.
Noon to 5 p.m. Thursday, April 9, Milton United Methodist Church at Smith and Church streets in Milton
10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Friday, April 10, Central United Methodist Church at 1043 Jefferson Ave. in Huntington
noon to 6 p.m. Tuesday, April 14, Fort Gay Area Women's Club at Vancouver and Court streets in Fort Gay
1 to 7 p.m., Tuesday, April 14, Westmoreland Church of Christ at 3209 Auburn Road in Huntington
8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Friday, April 17, Symmes Valley High School at 14778 Ohio 141 in Willow Wood, Ohio
11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, April 18, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints: 5640 Shawnee Drive, Huntington
3 to 8 p.m. Monday, April 27, Beulah Ann Baptist Church on Howell's Mill Road in Ona.
While all blood types are needed every day, type O negative, the universal blood type, is always in demand. Individuals age 17 or older who weigh at least 110 pounds and are in generally good health may be eligible to donate blood.
