Athletics and Activities League to host amateur boxing tournament
ASHLAND--The Ashland, Boyd County, Catlettsburg Police Athletics and Activities League is hosting an amateur boxing tournament in association with United States Amateur Boxing, Inc. at 3 p.m. Saturday, April 11, at Boyd County Middle School.
Weigh-ins for participating boxers will be from 11 a.m. until noon the day of the event and admission is $5 per person with free admission for children under 12 years old.
The Police Athletic and Activities League is an organization where members of law enforcement and other community volunteers mentor young people in sports and other activities.
Proceeds from the boxing tournament will be used to support other activities for the organization.
