Storm prompts call for blood donations
HUNTINGTON -- With the influx of a massive storm along the East Coast, the American Red Cross is urging people to donate blood.
Donors of all blood types are needed, particularly those with O positive, O negative, A negative and B negative blood types.
Here are some upcoming blood drives:
Huntington American Red Cross Donation Center, 1111 Veterans Memorial Blvd., 12:30 to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 30, and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the last Friday of the month.
Central City Elementary, 2100 Washington Ave., Huntington, 2:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 1.
Boyd County Community, Central Fire Station, 1021 Carter Ave., Ashland, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, Nov. 2.
