Comfort House provides tours, raises breast cancer awareness

Purchase this photoHUNTINGTON -- The Jeffrey E. George Comfort House closed out Breast Cancer Awareness Month with a breast care awareness observance event Wednesday.
The event had an open house feel, and guests were treated to tours of the "In the Pink" suite for cancer patient families.
The house allows for families and friends of patients in any hospital to stay there free of charge. It is not exclusively affiliated with a single hospital in the area.
Since it opened in 2000, the house has had guests from all 48 contiguous states and 15 different countries.
Additionally, the house has no corporate sponsorship, and its operation relies on donations from the community.
