Some area restaurants to stay open for Thanksgiving
HUNTINGTON -- While many restaurants in the Tri-State will be closed on Thanksgiving Day, some area restaurants will be open with a few of them serving a special holiday meal.
Here are some of the restaurants that will be open Thursday:
Coach Bobby Pruett's Steakhouse on 3rd Avenue will be open from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Pullman Plaza Patio Room at the Pullman Plaza Hotel will serve a Thanksgiving dinner from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The dinner will include turkey, ham, prime rib and lasagna with a variety of sides and desserts. The price of the buffet is $19.95 for adults, $9.95 for children and free for children under 3 years old. For reservations, which are preferred, call 304-691-5432.
Cracker Barrel in Barboursville will be open from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Gino's Pub on 5th Avenue will be open from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m.
Guyan Golf and Country Club of Huntington will be open from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and will serve a Thanksgiving buffet which will include turkey, prime rib and a variety of sides and desserts.
Nawab Indian Cuisine on 4th Avenue will be open for lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and will serve dinner from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Ponderosa on U.S. 60 will be open from 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Ruby Tuesday's in Ashland will be open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Shoney's on Washington Avenue will be open from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Waffle House on U.S. 60 in Huntington is open 24 hours.
Kentucky State Parks restaurants will serve the annual Thanksgiving Day buffet from noon to 8 p.m. There are 17 resort park restaurants. The buffet will include soups, cheeses, salads, relishes, turkey and dressing, baked ham, fried chicken, candied yams, country style green beans and mashed potatoes with giblet gravy. There will also be a variety of desserts such as pecan and pumpkin pie. The price of the buffet will be $16.95 plus tax for adults, $6.95 plus tax for children ages 6 to 12 and children 5 and under eat for free. Beverage is included.
