Two bodies found in burned car identified
GALLIA COUNTY, Ohio -- Two men who were found dead inside a burned car in Gallia County last week have been identified.
According to a press release from the Gallia County Sheriff's Office, the Gallia County Coroner has identified the victims as Terrell A. Hurt, 21, of Point Pleasant, W.Va., and Tyler D. Pearson, 20, of Gallipolis, Ohio.
The bodies were found at the scene of a vehicle fire along Garners Ford Road in Raccoon Township about 3:30 p.m. March 13.
Sheriff Joe Browning said the cause of death is still pending autopsy results that have yet to be released. Sheriff Browning further stated that investigators are focusing on what started the vehicle fire.
The Ohio Fire Marshal's Office and the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation are also assisting in the investigation.
Funeral services for Pearson are planned for 1 p.m., Monday, at Willis Funeral Home in Gallipolis; burial in Ohio Valley Memory Gardens. Visitation will take place two hours before the service.
