Report: Nick Rahall considered retirement
Longtime Rep. Nick Rahall (D-W.Va.) was considering retirement, but decided against it after Democratic leadership pledged more campaign funds, according to a report.
Rahall "was about to retire a couple of weeks ago," CNN's John King said Sunday morning on "Inside Politics." "And the leadership convinced him not to do that. And they promised him there'd be more money coming in."
Rahall is challenged in the primary election by Democrat Richard Ojeda II. Republican W.Va. Sen. Evan Jenkins, who recently switched parties, faces no primary opposition.
