Huntington, Salt Rock boil advisory lifted
HUNTINGTON -- A precautionary boil water advisory issued Monday, April 7, was lifted Tuesday for approximately 400 West Virginia American Water customers in Huntington and Salt Rock.
The advisory was issued following a water main break which drained the Bowen Ridge tank. The affected area included Idle Acres, Pinkerman Drive, Bowen Ridge, Pleasant View, Camp Branch and Green Valley south of Bowen Ridge. The break has been repaired.
Results of water quality testing confirm the water meets drinking water standards.
