Health care reform focus of town hall meeting
HUNTINGTON -- A town hall meeting on the national health care reform proposal will be held Thursday, Nov. 5, at Spring Valley High.
The meeting, which begins at 7 p.m. in the school auditorium, is being organized by the high school's Young Democrats and Young Republican Clubs. Speakers participating in the discussion include state Delegate Doug Reynolds, state Sen. Evan Jenkins, Republican congressional candidate Marty Gearheart and a representative of the insurance industry.
"The Young Republicans and Young Democrats wanted to have a public forum or venue for the issue to be discussed both with students and as a legitimate form of public discourse," Henry Dillon a teacher at Spring Valley High said.
The public is invited and will have an opportunity to ask questions.
