Two men arrested on drug charges

BARBOURSVILLE -- Five men and one woman were taken to the Western Regional Jail in Barboursville on Saturday and charged with felonies.

Two of the men, Stephen Dwayne Jackson, 24, and Darryl Randy Lanier-Lewis, 22, are Detroit natives who have been the target of an ongoing investigation.

Lt. J.T. Combs of the Huntington Police Department said they had been investigating the two since the summer. The two were taken into custody around 6 a.m. Saturday in the 500 block of 4th Avenue, while surveillance was taking place.

They were booked into the jail around 9:30 a.m. Saturday, both charged with conspiracy to deliver a controlled substance. Bond for both was denied pending arraignment.

Combs said the men were in possession of crack and several thousand dollars.

Martel Diangelo Brown, 22, was incarcerated at 1:55 a.m. Saturday. Authorities in Cabell County charged him with felony burglary. Bond was pending arraignment.

Anthony Michael Forbusch, 18, also was incarcerated at 1:55 a.m. Saturday and charged with felony burglary in Cabell County. His bond also was pending arraignment.

Charles E. Mccarver, 34, was incarcerated at 1:55 a.m. Saturday. Authorities in Cabell County charged him with two counts of felony forgery and misdemeanor driving on a suspended license, domestic battery, obstructing, having no insurance and having defective equipment.

Tabatha Rae Gardner, 19, was incarcerated at 1:40 a.m. Saturday. Authorities in Cabell County charged her with felony burglary, having a felony indictment and two counts of shoplifting. Bond was pending arraignment on Saturday.
