EDITOR'S NOTE: The Smith and Sines families of Barboursville issued the following thanks for the support they received after Haley and Zoey Sines died of carbon monoxide poisoning on April 20 at their home in Barboursville:

It is difficult to put into words a "Thank You" to all that have supported us during the recent losses of our precious Haley and Zoey Sines. We are simply overwhelmed by the community's support to our families and friends that continue to flow for all of us since this recent tragedy. We have been showered with so much love and support that we cannot express the gratitude we feel for all that have done so much.

Thank you to Cabell Huntington Hospital I.S. and Maintenance departments, and all hospital staff who were there for us in so many ways. And especially the hospital's OR and Anesthesia -- your loyal support to Maggie and family has been tremendous. Thank You, St. Mary's Medical Center and the St. Mary's I.S. department for your loyal support of friendship in a multitude of ways. Thank you to Pea Ridge United Methodist and Pea Ridge Baptist churches for being there for us throughout and helping us find rest in God's palms. Thank you to Davis Creek Elementary for the love and family they provided our precious girls, it is a priceless gift we will never forget. Thank you to Wallace Funeral Home, they have been outstanding and truly God-sent in their help and guidance through this difficult time. And a special thank you to Barbourville's Chief of Police Alan Meek, who handled us all so delicately and attentively. Whether it be cards, flowers, prayers, food, thoughts, tasks, or simply listening ears -- this community has been so giving of their time and love -- and we are forever grateful. Zoey and Haley will always be in our hearts.
