Kenova teen charged in Arkansas rape
BENTONVILLE, Ark. -- A 15-year-old boy from Kenova, West Virginia, is expected to be prosecuted as an adult in connection with the rape of two girls, according to the Northwest Arkansas Times.
The teen was charged as an adult with three counts of rape and aggravated assault, the newspaper reported. The suspect was arrested by Bentonville police last week in connection with the incident on June 17, which reportedly involved girls, ages 7 and 11.
Circuit Judge Brad Karren set bond at $50,000 and scheduled an arraignment for July 28.
The newspaper reported that the 7-year-old girl told a family member about the abuse, which was then reported to law enforcement.
