Traffic stop leads to arrest on heroin charge
CATLETTSBURG, Ky. -- The Boyd County Sheriff's Department Drug Unit arrested Jodie D. Christian of Ashland after a traffic stop revealed approximately 1 gram of heroin in his possession on Wednesday, July 16, according to a news release from the Sheriff's Department.
Deputies pulled over Christian's vehicle at the Kroger on Martin Luther King Boulevard for operating without a valid operator's license and no insurance. Ensuring search revealed the heroin. Christian was arrested and charged with operating on a suspended revoked operator's license, no insurance and possession of heroin. He is being held in the Boyd County Detention Center.
