CCC students top 20 in national contest
PROCTORVILLE — Four students from Collins Career Center proved to be some of the best around in a national contest last month.
Four members of the agriscience program at the school finished within the top 20 teams at the All American Quarter Horse Congress Judging Contest on Oct. 16 at the Ohio State Fairgrounds.
The team was up against students from Texas A&M University, Oklahoma State University, California Polytechinical and Virginia Tech.
Teams judged top horses from across the country in halter classes as well as reining, trail, hunter hack and hunt-seat classes. The members of the team were Charly Earl, Kristin Campbell, Kara Kerns and Caitlyn Childers.
