Man reports fraudulent check mailed to his home

The following information was provided by reports filed with the Huntington Police Department:

FALSE PRETENSE: A 32-year-old Huntington man reported someone mailed a fraudulent check for $2,000 to his home along West Road. The man said he saw the check in the mail on Monday. The man said he did not know who sent the check to his residence.

BURGLARY, DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY: A 48-year-old woman reported someone forced entry into her residence in the 1000 block of West 6th Avenue and damaged $1,199 in electronics sometime Tuesday.

BURGLARY: A 32-year-old woman reported someone stole the air conditioning unit from her residence in the 900 block of West 11th Street sometime Tuesday.

LARCENY: A 50-year-old man reported someone stole $700 in tools that were sitting next to his truck while he was working in the 2900 block of 1st Avenue on June 8.

The following information was provided by criminal complaints filed in Cabell County Magistrate Court:

PROSTITUTION: Susan T. Byrd, 32, of Huntington was arrested Wednesday and charged with felony prostitution, third degree.

A Huntington Police officer working undercover reported a woman entered an undercover vehicle on May 22 and agreed to perform sexual acts for money. The woman was taken into custody, and a background check revealed she had two prior convictions for prostitution on her criminal record.

Byrd's bond was set at $10,000.

The following information was provided by booking records at the Western Regional Jail in Barboursville:

Cornell Ricardo Rogers, 27, was incarcerated at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday. Authorities in Braxton County charged him with felony arson and felony conspiracy. Bond was $100,000.

Brett Robert Abbott, 23, was incarcerated at 3:15 p.m. Wednesday. Authorities in Putnam County charged him with a bond revocation.

Rodney Demetriua Hackney, 27, was incarcerated at 2 p.m. Wednesday. Authorities in Cabell County charged him with a felony bench warrant. Bond was denied.

Quincy Lofton, 44, was incarcerated at 12:55 p.m. Wednesday. Authorities in Cabell County charged him with a felony capias. Bond was denied.

Kelly Michelle Church, 33, was incarcerated at 12:20 p.m. Wednesday. Authorities in Cabell County charged her with a bond revocation.

Jennifer Faye Cremeans, 36, was incarcerated at 11:45 a.m. Wednesday. Authorities in Cabell County charged her with two felony counts of accessory before the fact and two felony counts of fraudulent use of an access device. Bond was $50,000.

Mary Beth Cummings, 28, was incarcerated at 11:20 a.m. Wednesday. Authorities in Cabell County charged her with two felony counts of fraudulent use of an access device. Bond was $20,000.

Terry Wayne Holstein, 21, was incarcerated at 2:35 a.m. Wednesday. Authorities in Lincoln County charged him with felony possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, along with misdemeanor obstruction and possession of a controlled substance. Bond was denied pending arraignment.

Robert Edward Holdren, 41, was incarcerated at 2:35 a.m. Wednesday. Authorities in Lincoln County charged him with felony possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, along with misdemeanor defective equipment, obstruction, improper/expired registration, disorderly conduct and possession of a controlled substance. Bond was denied pending arraignment.

Forest Zachary Franks, 32, was incarcerated Tuesday evening. Authorities in Cabell County charged him with being a fugitive from justice, along with felony possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver. He also faces misdemeanor receiving/transferring stolen property and driving on a suspended/revoked license for drunken driving. Bond was denied.

Mary Frances Reynolds, 43, was incarcerated Tuesday evening. Authorities in Cabell County charged her with felony possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver. Bond was $5,000.

Souel Dean Rowe, 41, was incarcerated Tuesday evening. Authorities in Putnam County charged him with felony possession of a stolen vehicle and fleeing while driving under the influence. Bond was denied pending arraignment.

Christie Lynn Caldwell, 37, was incarcerated Tuesday evening. Authorities in Wayne County charged her with felony child neglect with risk of injury. She also faces two counts misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance, along with single counts of driving under the influence, driving on a suspended/revoked license, improper registration and no insurance. Bond was $15,000.

Lekeisha Nicole Blackburn, 27, was incarcerated Tuesday evening. Authorities in Wayne County charged her with felony child neglect with risk of injury, along with two counts misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance and a single count of permitting driving under the influence. Bond was $15,000.
