MU theater department debuts 'Almost, Maine'
HUNTINGTON -- Marshall University's Theatre Department debuted its second show of the new school year Wednesday night in the Francis-Booth Experimental Theatre at the Joan C. Edwards Performing Arts Center.
"Almost, Maine," is a story about the mythical town in Maine, where residents fall in and out of love in the most unusual ways.
The show's cast includes Shelby Brewster, Ashley Browning, Dylan Clark, Trevyn Cunningham, Chuck Herndon, Alyssa Jimenez, Clark Lewis, Julie Mello, Nathan Mohebbi, Liz Pollack, Chelsea Sanders, Ethan Treutle, Christian Whitt and Alisha Woodall.
The performance also showcases the talents of student directors and designers.
"Almost, Maine," by John Cariani, continues at 8 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday, Nov. 19 to 21. Tickets are $20 for adults, $15 for Marshall faculty and senior citizens and free for full-time students with a valid ID.
Next up for the theatre is "Christmas Carol," running Thursday and Friday, Dec. 10-11, at the Playhouse at Joan C. Edwards Performing Arts Center.
