McHappy Day to help out restaurant charity
HUNTINGTON -- Residents of central and southern West Virginia, eastern Kentucky and southeastern Ohio can support the Ronald McDonald Houses of Charleston and Huntington this month by visiting participating McDonald's restaurants in support of McHappy Day by Friday, Nov. 20.
"McDonald's restaurants throughout the area proudly support McHappy Day, and we encourage our communities to join us," said Kevin Thompson, Lavalette McDonald's owner/operator, in a press release.
To donate, purchase paper hands for $1 each at local restaurants. In addition, on Nov. 20, participating McDonald's restaurants throughout the U.S. will donate $1 from the sale of select menu items to RMHC.
