Obama campaign boosts Ohio schedule

November 01, 2012 @ 05:30 PM

CINCINNATI  — President Barack Obama’s campaign is making up for lost time in the battleground state of Ohio.

The Democratic president will campaign Saturday in Mentor and on Sunday at the University of Cincinnati, after three rallies across the state on Friday.

First Lady Michelle Obama will be at Miami University and Kenyon College Saturday, and Vice President Joe Biden and wife Jill are expected in Ohio on Sunday.

Obama canceled earlier Ohio events this week because of superstorm Sandy.

Republican challenger Mitt Romney and running mate Paul Ryan will lead a huge, GOP guest-laden rally Friday evening in the northern Cincinnati suburb of West ester.

Obama is adding some star power in Cincinnati with singer Stevie Wonder. His hit “Signed, Sealed, Delivered I’m Yours” has been an Obama campaign staple.
