Wayne Parent Chats set for Wednesday

WAYNE -- The next in the series of Parent Chats in Wayne County is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 8, at the Wayne County Health Department conference room, 217 Kenova Ave., Wayne.

Three presentations are planned for the session.

Kimberly Adkins, director of the Office of Special Programs at Wayne County Schools, will present Support for Personalized Learning, a multi-level process that emphasizes how students respond to instruction and provides support for students.

Brynn Blevins-Fitzpatrick, Family Partnership coordinator at SCAC Head Start/Early Head Start, will present "Engaging Families in Early Literacy Experiences."

Donna Thompson, family representative and Wayne FRN Committee president, will present Sandbox Learning Skill Sheet: "Motivating Children to Learn Self Care Skills," which teaches how to motivate children to embrace healthy choices in their lives.
