Teenage girl injuried as vehicle goes over 25-foot embankment
BARBOURSVILLE -- A teenage girl sustained minor injuries after the vehicle she was driving plunged over a 25-foot embankment in Barboursville Monday evening.
The single-vehicle accident occurred at about 7:45 p.m. Monday on Water Street in Barboursville.
Cabell County Sheriff Tom McComas said the girl had to be extricated from the Ford Excursion she was driving and was transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
McComas said wet road conditions may have contributed to the wreck, which remains under investigation.
