Police searching for suspect in Wednesday shooting
HUNTINGTON — Huntington Police are searching for a man who is the suspect in the second shooting in two days in Huntington.
Police say a man knocked on the door of a residence in the 1700 block of Jefferson Avenue on the West End around 7:40 p.m. Wednesday, according to a release from police. Once the door was answered, the man fired into the residence, the release said. Three Huntington residents were injured in the shooting, according to the release. The victims injuries were serious, but not life threatening. Police say they have no motive at this time.
The suspect is a dark-skinned black male in his 20s has short hair and is around 5 foot 6 inches tall. He was wearing a black toboggan and a dark hooded jacket and jeans.
Police say the shooting is not related to a Tuesday morning shooting near Spring Hill Cemetery in Huntington. That shooting killed one person and injured two others. Rocky Hudson Williams, 19, of Huntington was charged with murder in connection to the shooting.
