Huntington woman arrested on prostitution charge

The following information was provided by reports filed by the Huntington Police Department:

PROSTITUTION: Sarah Elizabeth Smith, 23, of Huntington, was arrested on a warrant for soliciting prostitution while she was in the area of West 3rd Street and 7th Avenue around 1 p.m. Monday.

LARCENY: A Huntington resident reported someone got into an unlocked vehicle while it was parked in the 300 block of 1st Street around 11 p.m. Monday and stole a backpack containing cash, checks, a text book and medical equipment. The total loss is estimated to be $1,180.

A woman reported someone stole a window air conditioning unit and a washing machine from her home in the 1300 block of 25th Street between 4:30 p.m. Monday and 2 a.m. Tuesday. She told police she suspects two people who were staying at her home with committed the crime. The total loss is estimated to be $1,100.

Koppers Inc., 900 W. 9th Avenue, reported someone stole $5,00 worth of scrap metal at the business sometime Saturday. Police have a suspect.

The following information was provided by booking records from the Western Regional Jail:

Chasity Nicole Gibson, 30, was incarcerated at 5:45 p.m. Tuesday. Authorities in Cabell County charged her with a bench warrant. Bond was denied pending arraignment.

Jessica Ryan Staton, 33, was incarcerated at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday. Authorities in Putnam County charged her with a probation violation. Bond was denied pending arraignment.

Amanda Paige Gordon, 24, was incarcerated at 3:15 p.m. Tuesday. Authorities in Cabell County charged her with a bench warrant. Bond was denied pending arraignment.

John Randall Charles, 47, was incarcerated at 6:30 a.m. Tuesday. Authorities in Cabell County charged him with felony nighttime burglary. Bond was denied pending arraignment.

Brian Adam Reedy, 28, was incarcerated Monday. Authorities in Putnam County charged him with felony embezzlement, conspiracy and fraudulent schemes. Bond was $5,000.

Aaron Lamont Botts, 27, was incarcerated Monday. Authorities in Cabell County charged him with felony burglary. Bond was $40,000.

Robert Andrew Burd, 27, was incarcerated Monday. Authorities in Cabell County charged him with felony burglary. Bond was $40,000.
