Bakers swap cookies at library
HUNTINGTON -- It was a cookie-lover's dream at the Cabell County Public Library Thursday evening as it hosted a holiday cookie swap.
Bakers were invited to make a batch of their favorite cookies and bring them to the library in downtown Huntington to exchange with others. The result was an assortment of tasty treats from peanut butter and chocolate chip to sprinkled and iced sugar cookies and everything in between.
The event was part of a series the library has hosted throughout the month of December. With Christmas just a few days away, the library is hosting one more event to help get ready for the holiday. From 1-4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 21, the public is welcome to the Gallaher Village branch to make and design their own holiday cards and gift wrap.
All libraries will then be closed from Dec. 22 through Dec. 25.
