Fowler named senior vice president, COO of CHH
HUNTINGTON -- Kevin N. Fowler has been named senior vice president and chief operating officer of Cabell Huntington Hospital.
Fowler now oversees a number of departments and functions of the hospital, and he will work closely with administration and medical staff to ensure the operational success of the facility, according to a news release from the hospital.
Fowler joined Cabell Huntington Hospital in October 2013 as the vice president of Clinical Services and brings more than 22 years of health care experience, including serving as the CEO for ESTAR Health System in Oklahoma and the CEO for Logan Regional Medical Center in West Virginia.
He received his bachelor's degree from State University of New York in Plattsburgh, N.Y., and his master's degree in educational administration from Memphis State University in Tennessee. Fowler was a naval flight officer for 11 years prior to his health care career.
He replaces Glen A. Washington, who had served as senior vice president and chief operating officer of Cabell Huntington Hospital since 2007. Last month, Washington was announced as the new CEO of Pleasant Valley Hospital in Point Pleasant. A partnership agreement between Cabell Huntington and Pleasant Valley hospitals became effective in December.
