Groups planted willow trees at Salt Rock school

Oct. 08, 2013 @ 11:16 PM

SALT ROCK -- Modern Woodmen of America members were joined by members of the Salt Rock Garden Club and Salt Rock Elementary staff members in planting willow trees at Salt Rock Elementary on Saturday, Sept. 14.

The project was part of the Plant A Tree program introduced by Modern Woodmen in 2004.

"This program allows Modern Woodmen members to give a gift to the community," said Robert Holton, a local Modern Woodmen member. "Planting trees is an important way to create a secure future for families, communities and the environment."

Modern Woodman members have planted thousands of trees across the United States as part of the Plant A Tree program.

For more information, contact Holton at 304-638-7947.
