Police blotter: Wireless company reports theft from tower

Reports from the Huntington Police Department provided the following information:

Alltell reported a breaking and entering of the company's tower site at Rotary Park occurred sometime between 5 p.m. Friday and 1:45 p.m. Monday.

They told officers unknown people cut a hole in a fence and then pried open a door to the front building. The intruders got away with an ATV valued at approximately $11,000 and copper valued at $500.

Another hole was cut in the fence to remove the ATV.

Police have no suspects.

BREAKING AND ENTERING: A car parked on the 2800 block of 5th Avenue was broken into at 4:46 a.m. Saturday.

The intruder stole items valued at approximately $1,300 and broke a passenger-side window. A security guard witnessed the event and recorded the license plate number.

Police have a suspect.

BURGLARY: A home on the 1400 block of 5th Avenue was burglarized between 10 a.m. and 3:45 p.m. Sunday.

The victim reported almost $2,000 worth of items were taken from the residence.

Police have no suspects in the case.

BURGLARY: A man on the 1200 block of 4th Avenue told police that sometime between 9 a.m. Saturday and 10 p.m. Sunday someone forced entry into his residence and stole electronics valued at approximately $1,000.

The items stolen included a game console and a flat panel monitor. He also listed that an exterior window was damaged for a loss of $100.

ROBBERY: A victim reported that he was on the first block of 7th Avenue West on Friday when a man pulled out a small handgun and demanded everything from the victim's pocket.

The victim dropped his vehicle key, knife and cell phone on the ground. The suspect then picked up the items and fled west on 7th Avenue before cutting north between houses.

A suspect was not identified.

STOLEN AUTO: A woman borrowing her grandmother's car on Saturday reported that an unknown male stole the vehicle at 10 p.m.

The woman was giving the man a ride when she stopped at a gas station on the 1300 block of 16th Street. When she went inside to pay for the gas, the man drove off in her car.

Police have no suspects.

PROSTITUTION: Leslie Ann Duncan, 39, was arrested on the 1900 block of 9th Avenue on a felony warrant for third-offense solicitation of prostitution.

EMBEZZLEMENT: Mae-Marie Gilbert, 42, and Christopher A. Boblett, 46, of Huntington turned themselves in to the Huntington Police Department at 9:30 a.m. Thursday for charges of embezzlement.

EMBEZZLEMENT: Danny Lee Ketterman, 21, of Huntington turned himself in to the Huntington Police Department at 1:15 p.m. Thursday for charges of embezzlement.

Reports from the Cabell County Sheriff's Department provided the following information:

A man on the 6100 Ohio River Road reported a larceny from his residence sometime between at 5 p.m. Sunday and 8:30 a.m. Monday.

An unknown person cut the catalytic convertor from his vehicle exhaust system. They also damaged his transmission fluid lines.

The total loss incurred was estimated at $1,000. No suspects were named.

LARCENY: At approximately noon Friday, a woman reported a larceny from her home on the 5000 block of Hinchman Bend Road in Salt Rock, W.Va.

She said that she heard a noise in her driveway and when she looked outside, she saw someone pushing something at the end of the driveway. She noticed a bicycle was laying on top of the unknown item the suspect was pushing.

She later noticed that her riding lawn mower, valued at $2,000, was missing. The bicycle was found in the ditch near her driveway and was taken in for evidence.

The victim later found the suspect and he returned the mower.

Reports from the Western Regional Jail listed the following bookings:

Curtis Leroy Ward, 36, was incarcerated at 5:50 p.m. Monday. Authorities in Mason County charged him with a felony bail piece. He was being held without bond.

Charles Warren Cooper, 38, was incarcerated at 5:35 p.m. Monday. Authorities in Lincoln County charged him with felony failure to pay child support. His bond was $20,000.

Jason Edward Fielder, 27, was incarcerated at 11:15 p.m. Monday. Authorities in Cabell County charged him with three counts of felony delivery of a controlled substance, along with single counts of misdemeanor fleeing on foot and reckless driving. He was being held without bond.
