East Huntington bridge inspection closes one lane
HUNTINGTON -- Inspection of the East Huntington bridge will bring the bridge down to one lane and close the bridge to traffic overnight, according to a release from the West Virginia Division of Highways.
The inspection is scheduled for Tuesday through Friday, Sept. 2 through 5, and Monday through Friday, Sept. 8 through 12. The bridge will be closed to one lane with traffic maintained by flaggers from 8:30 to 4 p.m. on those days. The bridge will be completely closed from 7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 3, through 6 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 4.
Detours will be to the 6th Street and 17th Street West bridges.
Contractor Modjieski and Master will perform the inspection.
