Salute to Salvatore to raise funds for new scholarship
HUNTINGTON -- Tickets are now available for a special tribute to honor longtime local sportswriter Ernie Salvatore and raise funds for a scholarship in his name at Marshall University.
Event: Friday, Sept. 12, the Marshall University Memorial Student Center, cocktails 6 p.m. and dinner 7 p.m. Proceeds go to an annual scholarship in sports journalism at Marshall.
Tickets: $50 each and available at The Marshall University School of Journalism at Dean Corley Dennison's Office, Room 100 in the Communications Building; The Jeffrey E. George Comfort House at 2801 South Staunton Road in Huntington; and the front desk of The Herald-Dispatch, 946 5th Ave.
