'Hoops for Haiti' event scheduled for March 27
HUNTINGTON -- The Huntington Church Athletic Association will host "Hoops for Haiti" Saturday, March 27, at the Cam Henderson Center. Sixteen local churches are involved in the games from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. An entry fee of $3, along with donations such as blankets, vitamins and canned food, will be collected. All proceeds will be donated from the HCAA to SCORE International Ministries, currently operating on the ground in Haiti. SCORE has also worked with local missionaries in short-term mission trips for medical and construction ministries.
