Thursday, Oct. 11: Women's Studies and the Women's Center at Marshall University are hosting a meet the candidates event and voter registration drive from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in the Shawkey Room of the Memorial Student Center located on Marshall University's Huntington campus.
Monday, Oct. 15: Candidates meeting featuring candidates for West Virginia House of Delegates Districts 17 and 18, Cabell County assessor and commission at 7 p.m. at Bates Memorial Presbyterian Church, East Pea Ridge Road, Huntington.
Monday, Oct. 15: The Westmoreland Neighborhood Association and the West Huntington Neighborhood Association are co-sponsoring a meet-the-candidates forum at 6 p.m. at the Vinson Middle School cafeteria, 3851 Piedmont Road, Huntington. A meet-and-greet is offered from 5:30 to 6 p.m. The event will feature Wayne County sheriff and clerk candidates as well as Legislature candidates and Huntington mayoral and City Council candidates. Candidates interested in speaking can contact Carole Boster at 304-429-2428 or Bob Stover at 304-429-5989 by Oct. 13. Light refreshments will be served.
Tuesday, Oct. 16: Last day to register to vote for general election in West Virginia.
Tuesday, Oct. 16: Downtown Huntington Partners, Inc. is offering a meet the candidate at 5:30 p.m. at 926 4th Ave. All local and state candidates have been invited and are encouraged to participate. There is no charge and it is open to the public.
Thursday, Oct. 18: Candidates meeting featuring candidates for West Virginia House of Delegates Districts 16, Cabell County assessor and commission, and Huntington City Council At Large and District 4, at 6:30 p.m. at The Woodlands, 1 Bradley Foster Drive, Huntington.
Thursday, Oct. 18: Wayne County Democratic Executive Committee special meeting at 6 p.m. at the Wayne County Courthouse. The agenda includes discussion of Jeffferson-Jackson dinner, Democratic rally and candidate advertisements.
Sunday, Oct. 28: A rally for Democratic candidates will be held from 2-4 p.m. at the 4-H Club on W.Va. 10 near Barboursville.
Tuesday, Oct. 30: Last day to apply for a mail-in absentee ballot in Kentucky.
Wednesday, Oct. 24, to Saturday, Nov. 3: Early voting in West Virginia.
Wednesday, Oct. 24: Grace Christian School hosts a meet the candidates forum from 8 to 10:30 a.m. at the school.
Friday, Nov. 2: Ohio absentee ballots may be voted in person, or applied for in person, at boards of elections until 6 p.m.
Tuesday, Nov. 6: General election, polls open in West Virginia from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., in Ohio from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., and in Kentucky from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.
