OVEC hosts 25th Birthday Bash Oct. 27
CHARLESTON -- The Ohio Valley Environmental Coalition (OVEC) is hosting a 25th Birthday Bash on Saturday, Oct. 27, at the Charleston Woman's Club, 1600 Virginia St. East.
It features a cash bar opening at 5:30 p.m. and potluck dinner at 6 p.m. OVEC will provide a main dish and a birthday cake. Guests can bring a dish to share, see a slideshow of OVEC's 25-year history and hear a reading by Crystal Good, who penned the poem "Boom Boom."
Dancing begins at 7 p.m. with music by the Voodoo Katz, and there will be a silent auction and door prizes.
A donation of $10 is suggested, and registration is online at https://donation.towercare.com/ovec-registration.
