Cabell Midland show choir hosts fundraising dinner

Oct. 17, 2012 @ 12:00 AM

ONA -- The Cabell Midland High School Rhythm in Red Show Choir performed Tuesday evening during a spaghetti dinner fundraiser held at the school.

The theme of the choir's show this year is "Beauty." The show choir boasts 44 performers with an additional 26 members of the band and stage crew.

Proceeds from such events typically are used to offset costs associated with travel expenses incurred when the show choir travels to competitions, which start in January. It also will help in funding students for a major spring performance trip that has included a cruise and Walt Disney World visit in the past.

The show choir performed with the Huntington Symphony Orchestra at Harris Riverfront Park during the summer and is gearing up for another season beginning in early January with the annual Winter Wonderland dinner and show.
