HUNTINGTON -- A number of health-conscious classes, programs and screenings are scheduled in the Tri-State this week. Some of the activities offered in the area:

Breastfeeding Class, 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 23, Cabell Huntington Hospital, 1340 Hal Greer Blvd., Huntington. Pre-registration required by calling 304-526-BABY.

Prostate Cancer Screenings, 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 23, Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital, Dr. Brian DeFade's office, Bellefonte Centre, 1000 Ashland Drive, Russell, Ky. Free screenings consist of a PSA blood test and physical exam. To schedule an appointment, call 606-833-CARE.

Cancer Support Group, 10 to 11 a.m., Wednesday, Oct. 24, Edwards Comprehensive Cancer Center, 1340 Hal Greer Blvd., Huntington. For people with any type of cancer and their loved ones. For more details, call 304-526-2443.

Respiratory Screening Spirometry, 9 a.m. to noon, Wednesday, Oct. 24, Ashland Town Center, Ashland. In recognition of Respiratory Care Week, respiratory therapists from Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital will offer free screening spirometry. For more information, call 606-833-CARE.

Flu Shots, 8 a.m. to noon, Friday, Oct. 26, Wayne County Health Department, 590 Railroad Ave., Wayne. Flu shots are also available from 8 a.m. to noon on Mondays and evening clinic hours from 4 to 7 p.m. the first and third Mondays, excluding holidays. Flu shots can be administered to all ages.
