Police blotter: Several burglaries reported in Huntington
The following information was provided by the Huntington Police Department:
A 46-year-old woman reported that her home in the 500 block of 30th Street was burglarized sometime between Tuesday and Wednesday. Reported stolen were a video game console, laptop and computer tower. The intruder broke down the front door. Including the damage and the value of the items, the loss was around $1,600.
BURGLARY: A 52-year-old man reported that his residence in the 1800 block of McVeigh Avenue was burglarized sometime between 12:30 and 1:30 p.m. Wednesday. He stated that back door was forced open, and the house was rummaged through. Clothing was pulled from the dryer, and food was thrown out of the refrigerator. Stolen were three televisions valued at a combined $1,900 and $3,000 in cash.
BURGLARY: A 45-year-old man reported that his residence in the 100 block of South Edgemont Road was burglarized sometime between 7:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. Tuesday. He stated that a basement window was broken out to gain entry. Items stolen included a laptop, computer, iPod, calculator, two video game systems and a pocket PC. The estimated value was listed at more than $3,000.
BURGLARY: A 38-year-old man reported that his resident in the 300 block of Buffington Street was burglarized sometime between Tuesday and Wednesday. Various tools, including a jigsaw and nail gun, were stolen. Total value of the items was listed at more than $1,200.
GRAND LARCENY FROM AUTO: A 22-year-old man reported that a compound bow was stolen from his vehicle around 6:45 p.m. Wednesday, while it was parked in the 600 block of Marion Court. The bow is valued at $1,400.
The following information was provided by the Cabell County Sheriff's Office:
A Barboursville resident reported that someone entered their apartment in the 1700 block of Hash Ridge Road sometime between 7 p.m. Monday and 5 p.m. Tuesday. The complainant said the suspect entered through a hole in the wall where an air conditioning unit once was. Reported stolen were $350 in change, $400 in DVDs and a $400 video game system.
The following information was provided by the Western Regional Jail in Barboursville:
Robert Allen Martin, 40, was incarcerated at 4:10 a.m. Thursday. Authorities in Cabell County charged him with a felony count of malicious assault and wounding. He also was charged with a misdemeanor count of obstruction. Bond was set at $27,000.
Donald Lee Sexton, 61, was incarcerated at 12:35 a.m. Thursday. Authorities in Wayne County charged him with felony delivery of a controlled substance. Bond was set at $10,000.
