Pops in the Park set for Sept. 20
HUNTINGTON -- Ritter Park will be filled with music on Sunday, Sept. 20, as The Huntington Symphony Orchestra is offering a free show called Pops in the Park.
The show, which begins at 4 p.m., will feature music like "The Great Gates of Kiev," (from "Pictures at an Exhibition"), the theme from the Warner Brothers' movie "We Are Marshall," "America The Beautiful," the theme from "Mary Poppins," and the song "We Are the World," featuring accompaniment by the 20-member Ironton High School "Varsity Singers," a group of seniors, juniors and sophomores directed by Kathryn Price.
Food vendors and West Virginia wineries are scheduled to attend.
