Gary Allan brings country rock to Big Sandy Superstore Arena
HUNTINGTON -- Longtime country music singer Gary Allan brought his hard-rocking style to Big Sandy Superstore Arena Friday night, with special guests Jack Ingram and the Eli Young Band.
Arena spokeswoman Amanda Weiss said more than 3,500 tickets were sold for the show.
At 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 22, the Imagination Movers shuffle into town for one show. The wildly popular kid-pop quarter, which has a Disney Channel series, is on its first-ever concert tour. They'll be playing music from their Playhouse Disney TV show and performing songs from their new album, "For Those About to Hop." Tickets are $36, $26, $18 and $12.
At 7 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 28, the arena will host the Tri-State's first Indoor Demolition Turkey Derby. The event will feature both compact and full-size divisions, with five regular heats and a feature event to crown the overall champion in the full-size division. The compact division will be an all-out brawl with one heat, winner take all.
Awards will be given to the top two finishers in each of the full-size heats that night. At the same time, those two drivers qualify for the feature event which carries awards and cash prizes for the top three drivers in the overall event. More than $5,000 worth of prize money will be up for grabs during the derby.
Tickets are $16 for adults and $8 for children 12 and under.
