Three facing felony charges
BARBOURSVILLE -- Three people were jailed on felony charges Saturday, according to booking records kept at the Western Regional Jail.
Timothy Alan Sowder, 28, was incarcerated at 9 p.m. Saturday. Authorities in Wayne County charged him with felony third-offense driving under the influence, along with felony fleeing while driving under the influence and misdemeanor driving on a suspended/revoked license for DUI. Bond was denied pending arraignment.
Rebecca Gail Burton, 39, was incarcerated at 8:20 p.m. Saturday. Authorities in Cabell County charged her with felony possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver and smuggling/transfer alcohol or a controlled substance into a jail, along with misdemeanor first-offense driving under the influence. Bond was $23,000.
Tester Wayne Whitt, 34, was arrested on charges of obstructing, assault on a police officer, fleeing on foot and two counts of possession with intent to deliver. He was booked into the regional jail at 1:50 a.m., according to jail records. His bond was set at $30,000 according to jail personnel.
