Cabell natives graduate Marine Corps

Hunter Ethan Bourgeois and Steven Russell Warren, both Cabell County natives, graduated from Marine Corps recruit training in Parris Island, S.C., on Nov. 6.

Bourgeois is a 2009 graduate of Spring Valley High School and Warren is a 2009 graduate of Wayne High School.

While at Parris Island they received instruction on Marine Corps history, weapons training, martial arts and leadership skills. Their next assignment is Marine combat training in Camp Lejeune, N.C.

Bourgeois, the son of Marcia and Kenneth of Huntington, said he joined the Marines to be a part of the world's most elite team and to travel the world. Upon completion at Camp Lejeune, he will attend military occupational school in the field of motor transportation.

Warren, the son of Patricia and Steven of Huntington, said he joined the Marines to fulfill his life's goals and to be a part of the world's elite. He will attend military occupational school in the field of weapons technician after completing training at Camp Lejeune.
