Putnam chamber, rotary club hosting candidate forum
HURRICANE, W.Va. -- Voters are invited to learn more about the candidates that will appear on the November ballot during a candidate forum, scheduled for 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 7 at Sleepy Hollow Golf Club off Great Teays Road.
The Putnam County Chamber of Commerce and Putnam County Rotary Club have invited candidates for all contested State Legislature and Putnam County offices to address the public and participate in a question-and-answer session. Candidates expected to attend include those running for State Legislature House of Delegates (Districts 13, 14 and 19), State Senate (4th District), Circuit Court, Division 1 Judgeship, Magistrate, County Commission, Circuit Clerk, Sheriff and Assessor.
"This forum gives our members the opportunity to listen to the views of candidates in the upcoming election," said Marty Chapman, Chamber of Commerce President. "It is my hope our members take this chance to attend and become better informed voters."
