Drivers, 7-year-old boy still in hospital following head-on crash
BARBOURSVILLE -- Three people were still hospitalized Tuesday evening following a head-on collision that occurred around 5:45 p.m. Monday in the 3700 block of U.S. 60.
Barboursville Police Chief Mike Coffey said the collision involved a Ford Mustang with four female occupants and a Pontiac with three occupants.
The 23-year-old woman who was driving the Mustang was still in the hospital Tuesday, but is expected to recover, Coffey said. Her three passengers have been treated and released.
The 76-year-old woman who was driving the Pontiac and her 7-year-old male passenger are also in the hospital. Their conditions are unknown. A 25-year-old female passenger has been released.
Police are still investigating the crash.
