Incoming dean revamps WVU law school
MORGANTOWN, W.Va. -- The incoming dean of West Virginia University's law school isn't wasting time bringing new ideas to the job.
Joyce McConnell doesn't officially start work until July, but she's already appointed WVU law professor Caprice Roberts to the new position of associate dean for faculty research and development.
Roberts says she'll be helping faculty publish their work and set them up as representatives and speakers at conferences.
McConnell says the idea is to increase academic recognition and achievement. She says both are key to building a university's reputation and hopes Roberts will attract scholars and improve opportunities for students.
